What Is A Solutions Product

• Solutions products address a business level problem or need.
  • In general, customers care much less about the underlying technology and more about whether it solves their business problem.

• A solutions product has all the characteristics of a product plus:
  • It solves a problem.
    • Often for a specific industry.
  • It may be based on integration of one or more component level products.
    • Components may come from your company or from partners.
    • The product may be certified with a partner’s products.
      • Oracle and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
