When to Use Distributors

Use a distributor if you:
- Need to maintain inventory on the foreign country.
- Do not want to maintain your own distribution network.

When choosing a distributor one must be as careful as choosing a sales representative.
- Foreign distributors have been known to:
  - Shift their focus away from your product.
  - Not carry and an adequte supply of spare parts.
  - Take on products they will not sell to block their competition.
