Data To Be Collected
- Two types of useability metrics to be captured during an useability test are:
- Performance data.
- Preference data.
- What participants thought.
- In addition to qualitative notes about the useability test, quantitative data needs be collected to measure:
- Effectiveness.
- Efficiency.
- Satisfaction.
- Ease of learning.
- Memorability.
- Error frequency and severity.
- Determine how success will be measured for each task.
- Figure out what needs be collected to measure success, for example:
- Time to complete each task.
- Number of steps to complete each task.
- Number of errors.
- Number of times a product feature is used.
- Satisfaction with the product.
