  • It should be reviewed and approved by company executives.

• People working on the product want to know what is next.
  • Will this be the end of the product?
  • Will enhancements be made to the product to address new market needs?

• Having a vision for the product can be very helpful.
  • It helps engineering understand the future of the product.
    • Design decisions can be made based on future uses of the product.
  • It keeps those working on the product motivated.
  • It helps sales and marketing to communcate with the customer.
    • Customers also what to know where the product is going.
