Prototype Testing

• The following occurs at the prototype testing phase.
  • A physical prototype is produced.
  • It is tested in typical situations.
    • This is includes the packaging.
  • Conduct focus group customer interviews.
    • Attitudes and opinions about the product are recorded.
  • Conduct useability studies.
    • Observations are made about how the product is used.
  • Adjustments are made.
  • Produce an initial run of the product and sell it in a test market to determine customer acceptance.
    • This is called test marketing.
