Selecting the Moderator
- The moderator or facilitator can make the difference between a productive brain storming session
and one that degenerates into a session of posturing, grandstanding, etc.
- It is important to choose a moderator or facilitator who can avoid this potential problem.
- It may be the chairman.
- It is a sensitive issue and includes an evaluation of the chairman's position.
- The chairman may be better at being a regular participant than a facilitator.
- It may be someone from outside the group.
- An outsider removes any biases of the group.
