- It is the free association of different ideas to form new ideas and concepts.
- A group of people put social rules and inhibitions aside to generate new ideas and solutions.
- Brainstorming was first popularized by Alex Faickney Osborn.
- Osborn was an advertising executive, and one of the founders of BBDO.
- Osborn proposed that groups could double their creative output by using the method of brainstorming.
