The BLOCKQUOTE Tag

The <BLOCKQUOTE> tag is used to include indented text in a document. If, for example, you wanted to quote a piece of text from another source, such as Shakespeare:

The last words of Julius Caesar were: <BLOCKQUOTE> "Et tu? Brute." </BLOCKQUOTE>

Would display this on the user's screen:

The last words of Julius Caesar were:

"Et tu? Brute."

The <BLOCKQUOTE> tag displays an indented block of text. Both the left and right margin are indented. Thus the <BLOCKQUOTE> tag may be used just for indenting text.
