Issuer Policy Statement

• An administrator may add issuer policy statement to the CA certificate that is created during setup in the form of text or a pointer to a Web site.
  • An issuer policy statement provides legal and other pertinent information about the certifying authority.
    • Its issuing policies.
    • Limitations of liability.
    • Terms of use.

• An end user will see the issuer policy statement when it views the certificate and clicks on Issuer Statement.

• The issuer policy statement file must be installed before Microsoft Certificate Services is set up.
  • The file must be placed in the systemroot directory.
  • It should be named CAPolicy.inf
