Concept Development and Testing Questions

At the Concept Development and Testing phase these questions must be answered:
- What is the target market?
- Who is the decision maker in the purchasing process?
- Where is the point of sale?
- How will customers find and purchase the product?
- What product features must the product incorporate?
- To what government and industry standards must the product conform?
- What benefits will the product provide?
- Does the product concept allow someone to misuse it for malicious purposes?
- How will consumers react to the product?
  - Show the concept to a focus group.
- Does the proper level of technical competence exist in-house to design and manufacture the product?
- What is the most cost effective way to produce the product?
- What will it cost to produce it?
