Choosing Scenarios
- An useability test must have at least one scenario for each item to be tested.
- Every scenario must address at least one concern, question, or goal of the useability test.
- In deciding which scenarios to write, start by listing the tasks that need to be tested.
- Then, relate each task to the purpose of the useability test plan.
- How does this particular task relate to an item listed in the purpose section of the useability test plan?
- How important is each task for users of the product?
- How susceptible a particular product element to an useability issue?
- Choose senarios that rate high on frequency and/or importance.
- Choose senarios that meet measurable useability objectives.
- Which tasks should users be able to accomplish easily with few errors? (Efficiency)
- Which tasks should users be able to finish quickly and efficiently? (Effectiveness)
- What level of satisfaction should users have after using the product? (Enjoyable)
