Integrity

• The product manager needs to reflect the values of the company and the product.
  • The interviewer must figure out how the candidate will fit into the company culture.

• The product manager does not directly manage the people on the product team.
  • The product manager cannot dictate to people.
  • The product manager must work by influencing those on the product team.
    • Persuasion is done by mutual trust and respect.
  • The product manager must be willing to trust those people to do their job.

• Evalutating a candidate's integrity is difficult.
  • Ask the candidate how they dealt with stressful situations.
    • Find out what made the situation stressful.
