Applying Technology

• Many successful product managers come from engineering because:
  • They understand the technology.
  • They know how to apply it.
  • They know how to solve problems.

• If a product manager does not have this skill, they can develop it by:
  • Reading technical books.
  • Taking engineering classes.
  • Brainstorming with the engineering team.
