Leading The Team

• The product manager is responsible for leading the product development team.

• Since the product manager has no formal authority, leadership can be done by:
  • Directing the discussion and providing a structure for planning the new product development process.
  • Reinforcing productive team efforts.
  • Checking and receiving feedback to ensure all team members are actively involved in the process.
  • Being adept at dealing with people's feeling along with using practical methods to effectively solve problems.
  • Doing things to help produce a cohesive, finely tuned working team.
