Digital Signature

• A Digital signature is a method for authenticating electronic information.
  • It is also called a public key digital signature.
  • It is analogous to an ordinary signature.

• A Digital signature method generally defines two complementary algorithms.
  • One for signing.
  • The other for verification.
    • Encryption is used to validate files.

• Digital signature has also been used to encompass both public-key digital signature techniques and message authentication.
