Current SSL Version
- In November 1995, Netscape made the SSL 3.0 specification public.
- Version 3.0 is the version Web servers use today.
- It is better than version 2.0 because:
- It reduces the possibility of a man-in-the-middle attack from occurring during the SSL handshake process.
- It supports additional cipher suites.
