• The key agreement protocol is a protocol whereby two parties agree on a key in such a way that both influence the outcome.

• Diffie-Hellman exponential key exchange is a widely used key agreement protocol.
  • The two parties jointly exponentiate a generator with random numbers.
  • This is as an anonymous key agreement protocol.
    • Requires a certifying authority to vouch for the identity of the parties.
