Structural Programmer, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill; Chicago, 1986 to 1987.
Led a team of three engineers in writing technical and product specifications for interactive computer-aided engineering program according to A. I. S. C. and A. C. I. 318-83 codes. Applications included: floor framing, superstructure modeling, concrete beam design, concrete column design, interface to finite element and other structural engineering programs. Wrote software in C using X Window for programs above. Operating system was AIX.

Nuclear Pipe Support Engineer, Westinghouse; Pittsburgh, 1986.
Qualified large and small bore pipe supports, and conduit supports. Performed frequency calculations on pipe supports for amplification factors due to dynamic loading.

Senior Software Engineer, General Dynamics; 1985 to 1986.
Wrote benchmark specification and coordinated evaluation of CAD/CAM software for engineering, design, and manufacturing needs. Recommended system configuration for remote workstations, specified software packages, hardware installation, and training. Held DoD Secret Clearance.

Application Engineer, GE Calma; Schaumburg, IL 1983 to 1985.
Software installation and support of totally integrated CAD/CAM packages for architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and manufacturing engineering applications. Daily use of problem solving skills to improve customers' productivity.

Structural Engineer, Sargent & Lundy; Chicago, 1980 to 1983.
Office experience. Qualified large and small bore pipe hangers, conduit strut supports, HVAC supports, electrical cable trays, structural steel platforms and decks, anchored and welded attachments. Generated response spectra for dynamic analysis. Wrote and used computer programs for engineering applications on main frames and microcomputers.
Field experience. (LaSalle and Braidwood power stations.) Developed installation tolerance criteria, designed pipe supports on location, inspected structural steel decks, qualified as-build pipe supports; coordinator of field site computer systems.
