Default sql_mode Value

• Set the default SQL mode by starting mysqld with the --sql-mode="modes" option.
  • The default SQL mode can also be set by using sql-mode="modes" in the my.cnf configuration file.

• The default SQL mode value can be empty.
  • Use the option statement --sql-mode=""
  • Have the line sql-mode="" in the my.cnf configuration file.
